Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist to join our team in Loveland, Colorado. In this long-term contract role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of medical billing processes within the healthcare industry. Responsibilities: • Process and submit claims to insurance providers, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations. • Manage accounts receivable functions, including monitoring outstanding balances and resolving discrepancies. • Utilize medical billing software such as Allscripts and Cerner Technologies to oversee billing operations. • Handle appeals and follow up on denied claims to secure payment. • Perform medical coding and ensure proper documentation in alignment with industry standards. • Administer third-party billing processes and maintain communication with insurance companies. • Assist in benefit verification and eligibility checks for patients. • Conduct numeric data entry and maintain accurate records of billing transactions. • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers regarding billing inquiries. • Collaborate with team members to improve billing workflows and optimize performance. Requirements • At least 1 year of experience in medical billing or related field. • Proficiency in medical billing systems such as Allscripts and Cerner Technologies. • Familiarity with Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE) and EHR systems. • Strong knowledge of medical coding, billing functions, and claims administration. • Experience with accounts receivable, appeals, and collections processes. • Ability to work with third-party billing and insurance providers. • Excellent attention to detail and numeric data entry skills. • Strong communication and customer service abilities.
