Description We are looking for a skilled Medical Billing Specialist to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This role is based in Floyds Knobs, Indiana, and offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment where your expertise in billing processes will drive operational excellence. Responsibilities: • Process medical claims efficiently using platforms such as Allscripts and Cerner Technologies. • Utilize Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE) for seamless data integration and management. • Manage electronic health record (EHR) systems to ensure accurate documentation and billing. • Handle accounts receivable tasks, including payment posting and reconciliation. • Prepare and submit appeals for denied claims to ensure timely resolution. • Oversee benefit and billing functions to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations. • Administer claim submissions and follow up on pending claims to secure payments. • Collaborate with insurance providers and patients to resolve billing discrepancies. • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of healthcare billing standards and procedures. • Generate detailed reports on billing activities and financial performance. Requirements • Proven experience with medical billing systems, including Allscripts and Cerner Technologies. • Familiarity with Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE) processes. • Knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) systems and their applications. • Strong understanding of accounts receivable and healthcare reimbursement practices. • Ability to manage appeals and resolve claim issues effectively. • Comprehensive knowledge of benefit and billing functions within the healthcare industry. • Excellent communication skills for interacting with insurance providers and patients. • Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to maintain accurate financial records.
