Description We are looking for a skilled and proactive Medical Biller/Collections Specialist to join our team in Fort Worth, Texas. This role is vital for ensuring accurate billing processes, resolving insurance claims, and maintaining patient documentation. As a Contract-to-permanent position, it offers flexible afternoon and evening hours in a collaborative healthcare environment. Responsibilities: • Manage patient billing and insurance claims efficiently using Lytec and TriZetto platforms. • Handle insurance payments, address denial issues, and perform follow-ups on aged accounts to secure timely reimbursements. • Maintain detailed and accurate records in paper charts while assisting with filing and organizational tasks. • Draft and send correspondence, including insurance and medicolegal reports, adhering to company standards. • Collaborate with physicians and staff to prepare annual wellness reports and other patient documentation. • Leverage Microsoft Office tools for scheduling, reporting, and administrative tasks. • Coordinate with medical records personnel and the nursing team to ensure compliance with documentation and reporting requirements. Requirements • Proven experience in medical billing and collections within a healthcare setting. • Strong knowledge of medical coding, including ICD-10 standards. • Proficiency in handling insurance denials, appeals, and hospital billing processes. • Familiarity with Lytec and TriZetto billing platforms. • Competence in using Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook. • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with healthcare teams.
