Description We are looking for a dedicated Medical Biller/Collections Specialist to join our team in Fredericksburg, Virginia. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy of insurance claims, verifying coverage details, and maintaining exceptional customer service standards in every interaction. Responsibilities:
• Verify insurance coverage and eligibility by contacting providers when necessary.
• Review incoming claims to ensure all required information, such as names, dates, and demographic details, is accurate and complete.
• Resolve billing discrepancies and follow up on denied claims to secure payment.
• Manage appeals for rejected claims, ensuring proper documentation and timely submission.
• Handle collections processes with professionalism, addressing payment delays or outstanding balances.
• Maintain clear and accurate records of billing activities and insurance communications.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to address and resolve issues.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and stakeholders, ensuring their billing questions are addressed promptly.
• Utilize data entry skills to efficiently process claims and insurance updates.
• Stay informed on healthcare insurance policies and industry standards to ensure compliance. Requirements • Proven experience in medical billing and collections, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
• Strong knowledge of insurance verification processes and coverage policies.
• Familiarity with managing medical denials and appeals.
• Proficiency in handling insurance billing and payments accurately.
• Exceptional data entry skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, providers, and insurance representatives.
• Knowledge of healthcare industry standards and regulations.
• Customer service skills to address inquiries and resolve billing concerns professionally.
