Description A leading healthcare organization in Carlsbad, CA, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Medical Biller to join their team. Key Responsibilities: + Submit and process insurance claims for a wide range of healthcare services and procedures. + Verify patient insurance eligibility and ensure proper documentation is available for claims processing. + Manage payer follow-ups, ensuring timely resolution of denied or outstanding claims. + Review and correct errors or discrepancies in billing codes for compliance with payer requirements. + Maintain organized records of insurance claim submissions and reimbursements and assist with audits as necessary. + Collaborate with healthcare providers and administrative staff to resolve billing-related concerns. + Ensure compliance with HIPAA guidelines and confidentiality standards. Requirements + High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred. + 2–3 years of experience as a medical biller in a healthcare setting. + Certification as a Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or related credential is preferred. + Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Cerner or Epic. + Solid understanding of insurance processes, reimbursement systems, and healthcare regulations. + Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
