Key Responsibilities: + Manage and process Medi-Cal authorizations for services, ensuring compliance with payer and regulatory requirements. + Verify insurance eligibility and benefits to confirm coverage for procedures and treatments. + Work closely with providers and healthcare teams to secure necessary pre-authorizations for patient care. + Resolve authorization delays by effectively communicating and working with payers. + Maintain knowledge of Medi-Cal policies, procedures, and updates to ensure accurate and timely processing. + Utilize medical billing software to input and track authorization data. + Handle escalations and problem-solve complex authorization issues with confidence and professionalism. + Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA guidelines and patient confidentiality standards.
