Job Summary:

The General Education Instructor will teach in the Maine College of Health Professions Health Sciences and General Education Division and provide exemplary student support. This faculty position is for applicants who are interested in teaching in any of the following fields: Math, Science, Arts and Humanities, Social Sciences, Ethics/Philosophy/Religion, Healthcare Administration, and Business. Depending on the course format, adjunct faculty will be required to teach face-to-face, online, or hybrid. This position requires that applicants have experience and comfort with academic technology and be willing to actively engage in innovation. The instructor is tasked with creating effective student learning experiences that support student success.

Education/Experience

A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or collegeTwo (2) or more years of experience in the assigned subjectWillingness to work according to a flexible schedule (nights and weekends may be required)Previous teaching experience (academic or professional)

Preferred Qualifications

A master’s or terminal degree from an accredited university or college is preferredExperience in course design, instructional delivery, and the elements of effective teaching and learningFamiliarity with Quality Matters
