Salary: $880 / Week Job Title: Medical Assistant – Primary Care (3+ Years Experience Required) Location: Providence, RI Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Assistant to join our primary care team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of hands-on experience in a medical assistant role, specifically within a primary care setting . This position plays a vital role in supporting physicians and nurse practitioners in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. Key Responsibilities: + Prepare patients for examination by taking vital signs, documenting medical history, and assisting with physical exams. + Administer injections, perform EKGs, and collect lab specimens as directed. + Manage patient flow and ensure exam rooms are properly stocked and sanitized. + Accurately document patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR) system. + Coordinate referrals, prior authorizations, and follow-up appointments. + Provide patient education and support regarding medications, procedures, and care plans. + Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
