Baystate Health, a nationally recognized leader in healthcare quality and safety, and home to Baystate Medical Practices, the largest multispecialty group in the region is looking for a full-time Medical Assistant to join our experienced Contact Center team in Holyoke, MA.

*This is a remote/hybrid opportunity for candidates located in MA or CT.

*This position is 100% administrative in nature.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Baystate Health, Medical Assistants at the Contact Center perform an important role providing care to our patients. This position will support the Locum colon screening project. Responsibilities will include gathering non-BMP medical records for the RN to determine the appropriateness for direct to procedure, contacting patients to schedule, prep packets for USPS, and perform post calls for normal results. Medical Assistants at the Contact Center foster communications and a high level of service and satisfaction to clients (referring physicians and patients), understands patient needs and utilizes their clinical and administrative knowledge to make decisions that will enable the most expedient and efficient access to care.

SCHEDULE:

Full-time, 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday 8:00am-4:30pm or 8:30am-5:00pm NO weekends, NO holidays

QUALIFICATIONS: 

High School diploma or GED Ability to type 25 WPM Prior experience in a physician’s office or ambulatory healthcare setting Graduate of an accredited MA program or equivalent training with demonstrated competencies and a minimum of 3 years experience in a medical office
