Knowledge of laboratory disciplines and tests, specimen processing, charting, computer experience, filing. Performs venipunctures and other duties as assigned. Provides service to patients across the lifespan including newborns, children, adolescents, adults and geriatric age group *_Medical Assistant_* Provides clinical support to patients throughout the hospital. Provides continuity and coordination of care across the lifespan including newborns, children adolescents, adults and geriatric age groups. *_Lab Assistant_* * High school diploma or equivalent. * Completion of Phlebotomy Training strongly preferred. * Clinical laboratory experience preferred. * Computer skills a must/medical background helpful. * Possess a current National Phlebotomy Certification or equivalent preferred. * Certification or completion courses must meet the standards of Memorial Medical Center. * For positions with phlebotomy duties, completion of a formal Phlebotomy course or clinical experience in phlebotomy required. Completion of a Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant program helpful. o Medical Terminology course or equivalent preferred. o Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. *_Medical Assistant_* * High school diploma or equivalent. * Two (2) years clinical office experience. * Medical terminology, computer knowledge required. * Possess a current MA certification. * For New hires: Certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment. If currently certified, must maintain current certification. * Certification or completion courses must meet the standards of Memorial Medical Center.
