The Cook Family Health Center provides primary healthcare services for Bloomington-area Cook Group company employees and their families.

The Medical Assistant provides high-quality patient care by supporting providers and patients through various tasks related to patient care management, organization, and communication.

Must be available evenings until 7pm and rotating Saturday's until 12:30p

Patient Intake & Assisting Provider Setting up equipment and assisting during exams and procedures Collecting lab specimens Phlebotomy Patient Education & Communication Administer medication/Injections Schedule outside appointments Order stock Manage disposal of biohazards Electrocardiogram Sterile technique Clean and stock exam rooms/lab Electronic Health Records data entry Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required Basic knowledge of medical terminology required 1-2 years required technician experience in medical office environment; primary care preferred Current CMA or LPN preferredMicrosoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) experience Previous multi-line phone & customer service experience

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:

Ability to walk & stand for long periods of timeAble to bend, stoop, kneel or crouchUtilizes close visual acuity for working with computers, equipment, etc.Able to lift 20+ pounds occasionally
