Medical Assistant at Providence Saint Johns Health Center in Santa Monica, CA. This position is Full-Time and will work 8-hour Day shifts.

Under the general supervision of the Director of Orthopedic Clinic, the Medical Assistant II assists the physician in the delivery of direct patient care in the outpatient setting. Obtains pre-authorizations and schedules patient appointments for diagnostic testing, assist's physician's and physician assistant with patient calls and requests, as well as applying and removing casts as instructed by the physician.

Required Qualifications:

Graduation from accredited medical assisting program or equivalent educ/experience

Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association 

1 year medical back office assistant and casting experience in a hospital or physician practice.

Experience with bracing and orthotic application.

Preferred Qualifications:

Upon hire: National Medical Assistant Certification
