Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to coordinate patient care and clinic flow efficiently. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality assistance to clinicians and ensure seamless patient experiences.

Responsibilities:Escort patients to exam rooms, obtain brief medical history and vital signs, and enter data into the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.Update EHR records for clinician review.Assist clinicians with procedures, including patient preparation.Perform requested patient-specific tasks after clinician visits.Complete necessary consent forms and provide patient education and referral materials.Clean and stock exam rooms before clinic sessions, after each patient, and at the end of the day.Answer incoming calls and assist with appointment scheduling when performing front desk duties.Review upcoming schedules to ensure necessary supplies for procedures are in stock.Complete e-prescribing tasks and all assigned duties in EHR promptly and accurately.Assist clinicians in reviewing pending EHR tasks at the end of visits.Maintain EHR records in accordance with SBNC policies and procedures.Support laboratory functions as needed.Complete daily tasks in the case management system.Enroll patients in the Patient Assistance Program.Qualifications:Certification: Medical Assistant (MA) Certification OR Experience RequiredTraining: CPR Certification required.Education: High school diploma or GED.Experience Level: Entry Level (open to candidates with no prior experience).Skills Required:Medical assisting and patient care coordination.Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and EHR systems.Knowledge of appointment scheduling and healthcare administration.Understanding of blood pressure monitoring and pediatric care.Strong customer service and communication skills.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
