What makes the Dedicated Care Center unique? We are Sentara’s only concierge practice.  We pride ourselves in being able to dedicate more time to spend with our patients by having smaller panel sizes. We offer weekday office hours (which means no weekends), potential for staff to earn monthly incentives and each staff member has their own personal office! 

Location: Onsite

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8AM - 5PM (1 hour lunch).

No nights, weekends or holidays

No overtime

Overview

The Medical Assistant performs patient care and administrative/clerical related tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluations, and as delegated by and under the direction/supervision of the Physician, Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (NP/PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).

EducationHigh School DiplomaNo specific education requirements

Certification/LicensureCertified Medical Assistant (CMA), or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), or EMT Basic Certification (EMT). (Required)Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.

ExperiencePreferred to have someone with some experience in healthcare

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay rate for Full Time employment is:$16.92 - $25.38. Additional compensation may be available for this role such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
