Job Description
Join the Department of Neurology as a Medical Assistant in a role where you support physicians by handling vitals, rooming patients, scheduling, and registering patients. In this dynamic position, you will de-escalate interactions with patients professionally and calmly, ensuring a smooth experience for individuals with various neurological conditions.
ResponsibilitiesCheck-in and check-out proceduresMeasure and record vital signsRoom patients and prepare them for examinationsPerform basic lab testsTake calls from patients and monitor new and return patient contactRecord and update patient medical histories in the EPIC EHR systemMonitor supply inventory to ensure adequate supplies and equipment availabilityClean and stock exam rooms as necessaryEssential SkillsCertified Medical Assistant - CCMA/RMAProficiency in EPIC EHR system softwareAt least 1 year of experience as a medical assistantPatient registration and schedulingMedical assisting skillsPhlebotomy expertiseAdditional Skills & QualificationsCompletion of a Medical Assistant programUpdated Basic Life Support (BLS) certificationExperience in electronic health record managementSkills in appointment schedulingWork Environment
Work in a clinical setting within the Neuro Department. Enjoy a supportive environment that values inclusivity and collaboration. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
