Job Title: Medical Assistant - Jacksonville, FL Job Description Join our team as a Medical Assistant in our urgent care clinic, where you will play a vital role in providing quality patient care. You will be responsible for a range of medical assistant duties including collecting patient demographics and intaking patients based on their symptoms. Responsibilities + Collect patient demographics and accurately enter them into the electronic health record system. + Perform patient intake procedures based on symptoms and medical history. + Assist with medical records management using electronic medical records (EMR) systems. + Take and record patient vitals efficiently. + Provide excellent customer service at the front desk. + Support healthcare team with various medical assisting tasks as needed. Essential Skills + Proficiency in medical terminology and medical assisting practices. + Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and electronic medical records (EMR) systems. + Ability to manage medical records and patient information accurately. + Strong customer service skills in a healthcare setting. + Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Additional Skills & Qualifications + 1+ year experience in a fast-paced clinic environment. + Preferred: Medical Assistant diploma or certification. + Experience working with healthcare teams in a clinical setting. Work Environment This position is based onsite at a primary care clinic, where you will see between 20 to 30 patients daily. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8am to 5pm. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jacksonville, Florida. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
