Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our team, responsible for rooming 12-15+ patients a day. The Medical Assistant will work closely with a specific physician, assisting in patient care and administrative tasks. This role requires a compassionate individual capable of delivering excellent patient service in a team-based environment.
Responsibilities
Room 12-15+ patients daily and assist physicians who see an average of 15+ patients a day.Refill patient prescriptions and complete prior authorizations.Chart patient information in electronic medical records (Epic).Take and record vitals, with a focus on accurate manual blood pressure readings.Communicate test results to patients, which constitutes 40-50% of the workday.Work within a team to ensure coverage in case of absences.Essential Skills
Experience with medical assisting and patient care.Proficiency in taking vitals and accurate blood pressure readings.Ability to effectively use electronic medical records, particularly Epic.Strong communication and phone skills.Experience in scheduling and prescription adjustments.Additional Skills & Qualifications
National Medical Assistant Certification (RMA, NCMA, AAMA, NCCT, etc.).6+ months of Medical Assistant experience, including externship.Excellent customer service skills and proven reliability.Ability to float between clinic locations in Salem and Keizer.Work Environment
This position offers a Monday to Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with an initial training period of 5x8-hour shifts, transitioning to 4x10-hour shifts. The work environment is friendly and supportive, with a strong tenure of Medical Assistants and a smaller clinic setting. The primary location is inside Salem Hospital, with occasional floating to the Keizer clinic. The clinic values early diagnosis, patient attentiveness, and education, primarily serving a geriatric population.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Salem, Oregon.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
