Medical Assistant
Job Description Medical Assistant (MA) Clinical Duties (may include, but not limited to): ● Assist patients in changing areas before and after procedures. Alleviate any patient concerns. ● Confirm correct patient name, DOB, correct site, procedure and other information with RN and MD ● Assist with transporting patient in and out of ORs before and after procedures between cases. ● Record vital signs and report data nursing staff before and after procedure to ensure an optimal outcome ● Give patient’s post-operative education materials and review post-operative instructions and with patient and family and documents in the patient's medical record under the guidance of an RN. ● Assist patients in PACU area and provide coffee and snacks. ● Restock and check inventory of supplies, equipment and assist surgical techs with case pulls for the following days or week. ● Prep pre-op and PACU stations on a continual basis for the following days and order additional supplies as needed. ● Prepare documentation needed for the following day’s cases (discharge instructions etc.) ● Help ensure all maintenance logs are up to date ● Coordinate with director of nursing and/or charge nurse to perform duties as assigned We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
