The Rubin Institute for Advanced Orthopedics (RIAO) at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, is nationally recognized for its comprehensive orthopedic care for adults and children. Our specialists lead in areas such as limb lengthening, joint preservation and replacement, and hand and upper extremity surgery.

We are currently seeking a Medical Assistant to support our team at the Rubin Institute for Advanced Orthopedics. Under the direct supervision of a physician, the Medical Assistant performs a variety of clinical tasks to assist in the examination and treatment of patients. This role also includes supporting the overall operations of the department to ensure a smooth, efficient, and high-quality care experience.

The ideal candidate is proactive, team-oriented, and committed to providing exceptional service in alignment with LifeBridge Health’s high standards of care.

 

Key Responsibilities

Assist with patient intake and preparation before and during exams and procedures. Collaborate with clinical team members to ensure safe, high-quality care and effective communication. Prepare examination and treatment rooms by setting up equipment, instruments, and supplies. Interview patients to document reasons for the visit, symptoms, and medical concerns. Perform routine assessments such as checking vital signs, height, weight, and blood pressure.

Requirements

Less than 1 year of relevant experience (new grads encouraged to apply). High school diploma or GED required. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required. Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent training.
