Medical Assistant Job Type: Full-Time & Part-Time (Contract – 6 Months) Locations: + Riverhead, NY – 3 openings + Wyandanch, NY – 2 openings (1 part-time, 21 hours/week) + Shirley, NY – 1 opening + Southampton, NY – 1 opening Position Overview We are seeking dedicatedMedical Assistantsto support multispecialty practices including Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, and OB/GYN. These roles are based in high-volume, fast-paced clinical settings where professionalism, adaptability, and patient-centered care are essential. Key Responsibilities + Take and record patient vital signs + Conduct patient intake: collect medical history, record symptoms, and escort patients to exam rooms + Prepare and stock examination rooms + Clean and sterilize instruments using autoclave + Set up rooms for procedures + Provide excellent customer service and professional communication Required Qualifications + Completion of a Medical Assistant diploma program + Minimum 1 year of clinical experience as a Medical Assistant + Professional communication and customer service skills + Experience with EMR systems (Eclinical Works preferred) + Ability to work Monday–Friday, with flexibility for late nights and rotating weekends Preferred Qualifications + Bilingual in Spanish (Highly Preferred – 80% of patients are Spanish-speaking) + Certification as a Medical Assistant (preferred but not required) + Proficiency in Microsoft Office + Experience in a high-volume clinical setting Skills & Competencies Must-Have Skills: + Medical assisting (clinical) + Phlebotomy + Vital signs and patient care + EMR usage (ECW preferred) + Primary care support Nice-to-Have Skills: + Front office experience + Certification credentials + Multispecialty experience Compensation + Pay Rate:$18.00 – $20.00/hour Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
