The Medical Assistant performs administrative and clinical tasks in support of the medical clinic and patient care. The medical assistant's position includes, but is not limited to, performing Electrocardiogram (EKG) tests, provides dental assistance, completing sterilization techniques, completing specimen collection, completing diagnostic testing, taking vital signs, and providing patient care. The medical assistant establishes and maintains patient records and communicates with a diverse population regarding disease prevention, health maintenance, community resources, and physician instructions.
