Job Description
We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join a large healthcare provider's laboratory team in Redlands, CA. This person will be on-site Monday-Friday and will work 8:00am-4:30pm. There may be a potential need for this candidate to float over to one of the neighboring labs (rare) but the candidate must be comfortable with this in case this happens (Yucaipa, Highlands, Carson labs). The clinic sees roughly 65-90 patients per day. Since the lab is connected to the clinic next door, there will be a lot of walk-ins and this person must be comfortable handling a high patient volume. This person will also get trained on code assist and how to handle situations such as patients fainting, etc it is very important this person is empathetic and patient when dealing with patients! We are looking for someone with excellent customer service skills, a personable and friendly demeanor, and patience when interacting with these patients face-to-face. This person will be responsible mainly for back offices duties and blood draws. In this role, your responsibilities will include drawing blood, providing instructions to patients, accessing data in the computer system for lab orders, processing orders and specimens, correcting lab codes in Quest, and handling mainly back office duties.

Skills and Requirements
Medical Assistant Diploma or certification
At least 6 months of hands-on phlebotomy experience
BLS Certificate from American Heart Association
High School diploma or GED Experience with Epic EMR system
Phlebotomy certificate
Bilingual English and Spanish null
