Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The role involves supporting dermatologists in delivering patient care, managing patient information, and ensuring the smooth operation of exam rooms.

ResponsibilitiesRoom patients and document all vital information accurately.Scribe information for the dermatologist during consultations.Provide post-operative wound care instructions to patients.Draw blood and handle specimens as needed.Clean and stock exam rooms to maintain a safe and efficient environment.Schedule patient appointments and manage related administrative tasks.Assist the dermatologist with surgical photographs, biopsies, and patch testing by being present in the room.SkillsProficiency in medical assisting and healthcare support.Experience with appointment scheduling and patient rooming.Ability to draw blood and perform patient intake procedures.Strong medical terminology knowledge.Excellent customer service and triage skills.Skills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma required.Active Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) License preferred but not required.Work Environment

The work schedule is Monday through Friday with varying start and end times: Monday: 8:15 AM – 4:00 PM, Tuesday and Wednesday: 7:45 AM – 5:00 PM, Thursday: 8:15 AM – 4:30 PM, and Friday: 8:15 AM – 4:30 PM. The role may require travel to the Coralville, IA location as providers rotate between sites.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
