Job Description
This position is part of the Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) department within Head and Neck Cancer. The department manages a patient load of 30-50 individuals daily. The role involves taking vital signs, and ensuring examination rooms are clean and well-equipped.
ResponsibilitiesTake vital signs such as height, weight, temperature, blood pressureMaintain clean, well-equipped examination rooms; clean and sterilize instruments.Stock examination rooms and triage area with medical supplies; inventory and reorder supplies.Document all information in EMRAnswer incoming telephone calls, take messages, and refer calls as necessary.Schedule appointments, call patients to remind and confirm appointments, and manage rescheduling.Prepare patient charts for the next day and handle new patient chart creation.Greet patients in a courteous manner and notify medical staff of arrivals.Essential SkillsMust be a Certified or Registered medical assistant.3+ years of medical assistant experience.Experience with EMR systemsOncology experience is a plus!Work Environment
The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5:30 pm. The dress code requires solid color scrubs. The facility is a learning environment that encourages professional growth and development.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
