Medical Assistant Job Details Job Location Outpatient Northfield - Northfield, NJ Position Type Full Time Education Level High School Salary Range $17.00 - $19.00 Hourly Overview:Join a dynamic, mission-driven behavioral health team dedicated to making a difference in the lives of our community. We are seeking aCertified Medical Assistant (CMA)to support our outpatient clinic by providing both clinical and administrative assistance. This role offers a unique opportunity to work alongside mental health professionals while gaining experience in both client care and front desk operations. Key Responsibilities: + Provide direct support to psychiatrists and nurse practitioners in an outpatient mental health setting + Assist with welcoming clients, completing check-in procedures, verifying insurance, and preparing clients for their appointments + Record medical histories, vital signs, and other relevant information in the electronic health record + Schedule appointments, maintain accurate medical records, and obtain insurance authorizations + Assist with medication administration, prescription refills, and pharmacy coordination as authorized + Support front desk operations, including greeting clients, answering phones, and managing appointment flow + Prepare treatment rooms and ensure medical equipment and inventory are maintained + Participate in client education by explaining medications, procedures, or treatment plans as instructed by providers + Demonstrate the ability to serve individuals across the lifespan by assessing age-appropriate care needs Hours: This position is full time and includes the following benefits: + 3.2 weeks of PTO in first year + Health insurance, vision, dental & life insurance benefits + 9 Agency-paid holidays + 403(b) employee participation and employer match + Tuition Reimbursement after 1 year of employment Qualifications Qualifications: + High school diploma or equivalent required + Graduate of a CAAHEP- or ABHES-accredited Medical Assisting Program + Active CMA certification through the AAMA (American Association of Medical Assistants) + Current CPR and First Aid certifications required + Completion of externship required + Minimum of 6 months of experience as a certified medical assistant preferred + Strong interpersonal skills, reliability, and a passion for helping others Legacy Treatment Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer. #LTS456
