Job Title: Medical AssistantJob Description
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our team, providing comprehensive support in a dermatology setting. This role involves assisting the dermatologist with various tasks to ensure efficient patient care and clinic operations.
Responsibilities
+ Room patients and document all vital information accurately.
+ Scribe detailed information for the dermatologist during patient consultations.
+ Provide clear post-operative wound care instructions to patients.
+ Perform blood draws as required.
+ Ensure exam rooms are clean and well-stocked.
+ Schedule patient appointments and manage the appointment calendar.
+ Assist dermatologists with surgical photographs, biopsies, and patch testing, while in the room during these procedures.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in medical assisting and healthcare support.
+ Ability to schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently.
+ Experience in drawing blood and checking patient vitals.
+ Medical scribing and documentation skills.
+ Strong understanding of medical terminology.
+ Customer service and patient intake capabilities.
+ Effective triage skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Certified Medical Assistant certification is a plus.
+ 1-3 years of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant or Medical Assistant.
+ High School Diploma is required.
Work Environment
The work schedule is Monday through Thursday from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM and Friday from 7:30 AM to 12:00 PM. Candidates must be willing to travel to the Marion location as needed, as providers rotate between both sites. Travel time will be compensated at the hourly rate, but no mileage reimbursement is provided.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
