Job Title: Medical Assistant - Certified

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and certified Medical Assistant to join our team in the Columbia City area of Seattle. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others and providing primary care for a population that includes low-income and uninsured families and individuals, seniors on fixed incomes, immigrants, and people of all ages. We are looking for someone eager to learn and willing to utilize all their skills as a Medical Assistant. Reliability is crucial for this position, requiring availability from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with free parking available around the building.

ResponsibilitiesReviewing patient schedulesTaking patient histories and vitals, cleaning and restocking patient roomsAssisting provider or nurse with examinations or in-clinic procedures, including in-room documentation and note-taking to ensure accurate and timely medical recordsPerforming some phlebotomy and lab testsHelping with patient educationAssisting with cleaning and restocking shelvesEssential SkillsCertified Medical Assistant through WA DOH3 years of experience preferred, but not requiredBLS certificationExperience with medical assisting, patient care, family medicine, and primary careAdditional Skills & QualificationsObstetrics (OB) or Pediatrics (Peds) experience preferredProficiency in other languages is a plusSkills in phlebotomy, Epic, appointment scheduling, MA-RWork Environment

This position requires onsite work from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The work environment is an outpatient primary care clinic and is supportive and mission-driven, focusing on providing healthcare to diverse populations, ensuring everyone has access to a healthcare home regardless of income or insurance status. The team is passionate about their work, contributing to a positive and collaborative atmosphere. Free parking is available.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $32.00/hr.
