Job Title: Medical AssistantJob Description We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our team in a professional and traditional medical office setting. This role involves working closely with patients, providers, pharmacies, and laboratories to facilitate patient care and ensure the smooth operation of medical services. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, technological proficiency, and the ability to adapt to a high-volume environment. Responsibilities + Float between front and back office duties, including running and ordering prescriptions on behalf of providers. + Process 300-400 prescriptions daily. + Collaborate with patients, providers, pharmacies, and laboratories for patient orders. + Assist with rooming patients and work closely with physicians on a daily basis. + Maintain professionalism and provide strong customer service throughout the day. + Demonstrate flexibility in job duties and functions. + Utilize strong communication skills to effectively work with the geriatric patient community. + Facilitate and guide patients for telehealth appointments. + Work with the EMR System E Clinical Works. + Potentially float to the Huntington Beach office as needed. Essential Skills + 1+ years of recent Medical Assistant experience. + Medical Assistant Certificate required. + BLS and/or CPR certification. + Knowledge of medical terminology and medication or pharmacy knowledge. + Experience with EMR systems. + Strong computer and phone etiquette skills. + Ability to fill prescription requests and perform manual blood pressure and ear lavage. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Detail-oriented with strong communication skills for interactions with patients, providers, pharmacies, and labs. Work Environment This position is set in a high-volume medical clinic that supports pediatric, urgent care, adult care, and radiology services, working alongside 17 doctors and seeing over 250 patients per day. The environment is family-oriented with a tight-knit and welcoming team culture. Occasionally, you may need to support the Huntington Beach site. The clinic is conveniently located near several great restaurants, providing a vibrant community atmosphere. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.
