Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Medical Assistant to support a seasonal flu clinic in Santa Cruz. In this role, you will assist healthcare providers with patient intake, vaccine administration, documentation, and general clinic operations. ResponsibilitiesGreet and check in patients.Take vital signs and medical history.Prepare and administer flu vaccines under supervision.Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.Ensure cleanliness and readiness of exam areas.Provide post-vaccination care and instructions.Essential SkillsCertified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent training.Current BLS/CPR certification.Previous experience in a clinical or vaccination setting preferred.Strong communication and organizational skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsBilingual (Spanish/English) candidates are preferred.Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends if needed.Work Environment

Medical Assistants will have guaranteed 20 hours per week, with the potential for increased hours depending on business needs. The flu clinic will be operational Monday through Saturday from 07:30 to 19:30 across various locations within Santa Cruz County. The work shifts are typically scheduled from 07:30 to 11:30 and from 15:30 to 19:30. The environment is supportive of public health efforts and operates in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $27.00/hr.
