Job Title: Medical Assistant
Job Description

The Medical Assistant will support the health system with the seasonal flu surge by rooming patients, checking vitals, updating health records, and cleaning patient rooms. You will care for the internal employees of the health care system, who will visit the clinic for vaccinations and health record updates to comply with HR requirements. Registered Nurses will administer vaccines, while Medical Assistants prepare rooms and check in patients.

ResponsibilitiesRoom patients and assist in their preparation for examinations.Check and record vital signs.Update health records accurately.Clean and maintain patient rooms.Provide support to Registered Nurses during vaccination clinics.Ensure flexibility to work across multiple clinic locations in Palo Alto, Redwood City, Newark, and Emeryville.Essential SkillsExperience with medical assisting and patient care.Proficiency in using Epic systems.Phlebotomy skills.Experience working in ambulatory settings such as medical offices, outpatient clinics.Additional Skills & QualificationsMA certification or diploma.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an American Heart Association program.Strong communication skills, positive attitude, and reliability.Customer service proficiency.Work Environment

The position is a day shift lasting 8 hours, requiring flexibility in start times. The workweek is mainly Monday to Friday, with potential Saturday shifts towards the end of the contract depending on the census. The role involves working in vaccination clinics located in Palo Alto, Newark, Redwood City, and Emeryville.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00/hr.
