Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of our medical office. This role involves supporting multiple physicians and their patients through various tasks related to patient care, management, organization, and communication.
ResponsibilitiesGreet and check in patients.Answer telephone calls.Schedule appointments.Prepare charts.Take vital signs and room patients.Enter data into the electronic medical record system.Order imaging studies.Obtain prior authorizations.Schedule outside referrals.Call in prescriptions.Essential SkillsSix (6) months of medical assistant experience.Knowledge of Classification Procedural Terminology (CPT) or ICD-10 coding.Experience with electronic medical records.Strong organizational skills.Attention to detail.Proficiency in appointment scheduling and medical terminology.Additional Skills & QualificationsIdeally, 1-2 years of experience within a medical office, preferably within the orthopedic setting.MA Certification is a plus but not required.1-3 years of experience as a medical assistant or medical secretary.Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures.Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.Excellent written and verbal communication.Preferred: Certified or Registered Medical Assistant with AAMA, AMT, NCCT, or NHA.Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR card.Degree in Medical Assisting or a related field.Work Environment

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr.
