Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting patient care and administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our clinic.
ResponsibilitiesPerform follow-up tasks and update patient data through data entry.Answer inbound phone calls and handle patient inquiries professionally.Order laboratory tests and relay lab results to patients and healthcare providers.Schedule follow-up appointments for patients and assist in triaging patient needs.Provide clinical support and assist healthcare professionals in delivering patient care.Essential SkillsMinimum 1+ year of experience in Medical Assisting.High School Diploma required.Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, preferably Athena.Strong understanding of medical terminology and healthcare practices.Additional Skills & QualificationsMedical Assisting diploma or certification preferred but not required.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is advantageous.Experience in customer service and front desk operations.Proficiency in appointment scheduling and insurance handling.Work Environment
The role is based onsite at a clinic, operating Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
