Medical Assistant, PRN (as needed) *Schedule:*This is a PRN (as needed) role that will fill in for full-time and part-time staff at all of our clinics. Monitors and communicates changes in patient condition. Documents patient care given. * Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting. Maintains examination areas. * Performs administrative or clerical duties as assigned, including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration. * Administers patient injections and takes patient's vitals. * Obtains authorization for consults, referrals and procedures and ABN’s per policies. * Evaluates chart documentation for coding purposes, applies official guidelines, and determines and applies appropriate codes. Previous Medical Assistant and front office experience preferred. * Other Requirements: Excellent customer service skills. Typing and grammatical skills.
