ChristianaCare Colorectal Surgery is located at 4745 Ogletown Stanton Road, Medical Arts Pavilion I, Suite 216 in Newark, Delaware.
You will be working alongside our board-certified surgeons who specialize in treating benign and cancerous diseases in the small intestine, large intestine (colon), rectum, and anus, collaborating with patients to create a comprehensive treatment plan for exceptional outcomes. The team offers comprehensive care for various colorectal conditions, including colon cancer, rectal cancer, anal cancer, diverticulitis/diverticulosis, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), hemorrhoids, fissures, fetal incontinence, rectal prolapse/rectocele, and colonoscopy. Treatment options include surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation.

Duties / Responsibilities:
As a medical assistant you will be involved with greeting and supporting patients both virtually and on-site within the practice, preparing them for virtual visits, performing point of care testing, injections, medication administration, and EKGs, assisting clinicians with examinations and procedures, preparing exam/treatment rooms with necessary supplies and equipment, completing patient-specific paperwork, ensuring EMR is up-to-date, handling patient call backs, sterilizing medical equipment, handling prior authorizations, referrals, and medical refills, scheduling tests, procedures, and surgeries, performing quality control on POCT equipment, providing documentation assistance, performing clerical duties, troubleshooting patient issues with video visits, and supporting patients in joining ChristianaCare's Patient Portal.
