What You Will Achieve
Known internally as the Medical Affairs Scientist (MAS), Field, you will facilitate the interaction/partnership between healthcare professionals (HCPs), medical societies and other healthcare-related organizations, academia, and Pfizer.
You are responsible for leading medical-to-medical communications in the field with healthcare professionals and other relevant customers within a given therapeutic area by providing high-level scientific, clinical and research support.
For this role, we are looking for candidates with Immunology & Inflammation (Gastroenterology) experience.
How You Will Achieve It
Lead proactive and reactive medical-to-medical communications in the field between healthcare professionals and the medical functions within PfizerGather and analyze customer insights to help shape Pfizer medical activities that appropriately support customer needsDevelop and maintain a comprehensive stakeholder map to identify relevant HCPs, medical societies, and other relevant external stakeholdersIdentify and facilitate educational, research and other partnerships between external stakeholders and PfizerAddress field and customer queries on Pfizer medicines and research as well as handling compassionate use requests Scientific expert and stakeholder management for HCPs, medical societies and other healthcare-related organisations, academiaExecute the therapeutic area (TA) strategy under the guidance of the Senior Manager, Field Medical Excellence responsible for the allocated assets and leadership of the TA Medical Lead Contribute to ensuring company’s medical complianceProvide support to both Pfizer sponsored, and investigator-sponsored research activities Additional support as required by the TA medical lead to assist with Clinical, Regulatory and Access support for pipeline and inline assetsQualifications
Must Have
A relevant university degree in science including healthcare professionsProven experience either working as an MSL or deep knowledge of therapeutic area2+ years' experience in a scientific and technical capacity interacting with academics, researchers, or the medical professionStrong analytical, interpersonal, and partnering skillsAbility to understand and influence in a highly matrixed environmentDemonstrated strategic business planning abilities and superior customer management skillsNice-to-Have
Medical Qualifications or PhDPharmaceutical Industry experienceExperience as a Medical Science Liaison or similarGood working knowledge of relevant industry codes of conduct/practice
