Job Description
The Medical Adviser holds primary responsibility within the country for the development and execution of the Medical Affairs Plans for their therapy area - Oncology. The Medical Adviser is also expected to be agile and able pivot to other therapy areas, depending on the evolving landscape.
The Medical Adviser should facilitate peer-to-peer medical and scientific information exchange with key external and internal stakeholders through one-on-one engagements, group input meetings, and continuing medical education sessions. The Medical Adviser is a valued co-strategist on cross-functional country teams, including the Marketing, Market Access and Policy, Regulatory, and Clinical Trials organizations. They also frequently have discussions and alignment with regional cross-functional colleagues.
Local data generation, especially for pipeline products, are crucial in achieving key strategic priorities. As such, the Medical Adviser should be able to distill insights, identify data and clinical gaps, and propose appropriate study concepts. If prioritized and funded, they must ensure HQ approval through appropriate governance, on-time local study execution, analysis and publication.
The Medical Adviser must collaborate and lead resolution of regulatory, reputational, ethical, and other asset management issues in country.
Requirements:
MD, PhD or PharmD or Pharmacy degree (MD preferred) with at least two years experience in pharmaceutical Medical Affairs
At least two years experience in key stakeholder/decision-maker engagement in private and government institutions
