Description
We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Medical Administrator to oversee administrative operations within a healthcare setting. This key role involves ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of the medical office, supporting both patients and medical staff, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Coordinate and manage daily administrative activities, including patient scheduling, record maintenance, and office workflow management.
+ Serve as the primary liaison between patients, healthcare providers, and support staff to ensure effective communication and customer satisfaction.
+ Oversee the use of electronic medical record (EMR) systems (e.g., Cerner, Epic) to ensure accurate and timely recordkeeping and data entry.
+ Manage medical billing processes and collections, working closely with billing and coding teams to address any discrepancies or issues.
+ Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards, maintaining confidentiality of patient records (HIPAA compliance).
+ Provide administrative support to healthcare professionals, including preparing reports, correspondence, and performing general office duties.
+ Take responsibility for onboarding new administrative staff and providing training on processes and systems.
Key Skills and Requirements:
+ Proven experience in medical administration or a similar role, with strong knowledge of medical office procedures.
+ Proficiency in electronic medical record systems (e.g., Cerner, Epic) and scheduling software.
+ Familiarity with medical billing, coding, and collections processes.
+ Certifications such as Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or Certified Professional Coder (CPC) are highly desirable.
+ Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with excellent attention to detail.
+ Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on providing outstanding patient service.
+ Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA).
