Media Strategy & Deals Manager, Wondery Revenue Operations
Description We are seeking an experienced Media Strategy & Deals Manager to develop and scale Wondery’s advertising business. This role will create standardized, templatized approaches to media planning that ensure revenue quality, operational efficiency, and sales velocity. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in building scalable commercial frameworks within the media and advertising industry, with particular focus on standardization, deal governance, and process optimization. Key job responsibilities Deal Structure & Media Plan Standardization * Design, implement, and scale templated media planning approaches that drive consistency and efficiency across sales teams * Create standardized deal structures that optimize for both revenue quality and operational feasibility * Develop progressive pricing tiers, product bundles, and package structures that can be easily customized for different client types * Build automated tools and calculators that enable sales teams to construct compliant, profitable deals Deal Review & Exception Management * Establish a tiered approval framework for non-standard deal elements, including pricing exceptions and custom terms * Develop and manage offshore resources to support routine deal reviews and standardized processes * Implement complexity scoring for deals to identify operational challenges before they reach execution * Partner with AdOps to identify and address operational pain points in deal execution Category Exclusivity & Inventory Management * Support the implementation of category exclusivity processes to maximize revenue while preventing sales conflicts * Maintain visibility into category commitments and develop tools to prevent overlapping exclusivity promises * Partner with sales leadership to establish appropriate premium pricing for category exclusivity * Develop conflict resolution protocols when multiple teams target the same category Commercial Analytics & Optimization * Build reporting and analytics that identify opportunities to improve deal structures and pricing * Track key metrics around deal quality, operational complexity, and exceptions * Analyze product mix performance and develop recommendations for optimal packaging Sales Enablement & Process Improvement * Develop playbooks and resources that help sellers create high-quality, executable deals from the start * Design and deliver training on media planning best practices and template utilization * Act as a consultative resource for complex deal construction About the team Wondery, an Amazon company, is a premium podcast studio known for character-driven, binge-worthy stories including Dr. Death, American Scandal, Scamfluencers, and Business Wars, as well as distribution of hit partner shows Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard, Morbid, and New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce. The base pay for this position ranges from $79,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $169,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
