Overview The Media Buyer is responsible for executing media campaigns across traditional and digital channels, ensuring that investments are optimized for performance, profitability, and value delivery. This role plays a key part in managing vendor relationships, negotiating media buys, and maintaining financial accuracy. The Buyer also supports junior team members and contributes to the overall success of the investment team by ensuring campaigns are executed efficiently and in alignment with client and agency goals. Responsibilities Campaign Execution & Optimization Execute approved OOH media buys, both direct & programmatic. Negotiate with media vendors to secure optimal rates, placements, and added value. Input and manage buys in media systems (DDS, Prisma), ensuring accuracy and compliance. Monitor campaign pacing and performance, making real-time optimizations to maximize ROI. Collaborate with vendors to unlock incremental value and ensure campaign objectives are met. Financial Oversight & Profit Accountability Maintain accurate records of campaign budgets, savings, and margins. Prepare and review P&Ls, ensuring alignment with client expectations and agency profitability targets. Track and report on deal pacing and extraction rates to ensure commitments are fulfilled. Support billing and reconciliation processes, including invoice clearing and discrepancy resolution. Ensure all financial documentation (e.g., order letters, PO numbers, contracts) is complete and audit-ready. Mentorship & Team Collaboration Train and support Investment Assistants in campaign setup, financial tracking, and reporting. Share best practices for value extraction, vendor negotiation, and campaign optimization. Collaborate with Supervisors and Managers to ensure team alignment and workflow efficiency. Contribute to a culture of learning, accountability, and commercial awareness. Reporting & Tools Prepare pre-buy and post-buy reports using Excel and PowerPoint, highlighting performance and value delivery. Use media tools (e.g., DDS, Prisma, COMMB) to support campaign planning and analysis. Maintain up-to-date documentation of all campaign activities and financials. Ensure data integrity across all systems and reports. Vendor & Stakeholder Engagement Build strong relationships with media sales reps and vendor partners. Communicate campaign details and updates to internal stakeholders, including Strategy and Finance teams. Participate in client meetings and presentations as needed. Ensure vendor compliance with negotiated terms and campaign deliverables. Qualifications Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Media, Business, or a related field. 2+ years of experience in OOH media buying, with exposure to both traditional and digital channels. Strong financial acumen, including experience with budgeting, billing, and margin tracking. Proficiency in media systems (DDS, Prisma), Excel (pivot tables), and reporting tools. Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Detail-oriented, analytical, and committed to delivering value and accuracy.
