Purpose

This role responds to the need of up-weighting our in house Media and Digital Capability, leading Critical Thinking on these areas. The role works with the South LAC Marketing & Innovation Team to ensure brilliant media plans, digital programmes, and link to E-commerce. The role will also support the Marketing Team in selecting the right agency partners, implementing Digital Marketing Plans and building Digital Capability within Diageo marketing teams.

Market Context

South LAC is a business unit formed by 7 countries (Peru, Ecuador, Bolivia, Argentina, Chile, Uruguay & Paraguay) with similar market contexts, trends and opportunities across them.  Its ambition is to change the way consumers celebrate in those countries. For delivering our ambition the focus is: reinforce our consumer recruitment strategy, consolidate our portfolio to face local spirits and beer competition.

Key Outputs/Deliverables

Works with the BMs and the Media agencies to get the best out of each media plan, amplifying the impact of communications.Implements and Optimizes Digital Programmes, working under the strategic framework of the BM.Delivers guidance on digital strategies including social media engagement critical metrics for all assets with supporting threshold and investment guidance.Adapts or creates culturally relevant digital assets for the brands including content tailored for social media and mobile.M&E: Uses data to evaluate performance of media, developing insights into the best way to demonstrate interconnected channels. Builds understanding into what drives sales, iterating work to amplify what gives the biggest return. Search: Works with the brands team to ensure each brand has a search strategy, ensuring they show up effectively through paid and earned search.Leads the digital agency  relationships across South LAC and supports procurement and local marketing team in finding the best partners across countriesResponsible for identifying the emerging technology trends, to identify new ways to connect with consumers (in particular within the digital and mobile space).Leads capability building on digital marketing to create South LAC functional guides.Searches, spins and creates visibility of brilliant digital marketing initiatives from around the world to inspire brilliance in South LACBuilds and manages relationships with big and small media organizations across the full range of media channels. Spotting and experimenting with new channels and partners.Interacts with the global digital team that provide the creative platform and parameters within which to operate.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

More than 6 years of confirmed experience of leading brand building through digital media. Previous work experience in a digital media company/agency will be a plus.Bachelor Degree in Marketing/Advertising or related fieldDiploma in Digital Marketing will be added plus.English required.Deep and instinctive understanding the ‘always connected’ consumerStrong project management skills.Track record of bringing successful new thinking into a business, and experience of experimentation and failureConfirmed ability to inspire, lead and coach brand team to deliver great new media opportunities.Consistent track record of working within or leading Digital marketing agencies to deliver elite brand building programsExperience with Google Analytics, Google Adwords, Business Manager Facebook,  Programmatic Buying  (Desirable)

Flexible working options:

Role is based in ArgentinaThis role requires effective usage of virtual communication channels rather than face-to-face meetings with the rest of the South LAC organization.
