DESCRIPTION OF POSITION The General Educator is a Registered Professional Nurse responsible for developing, initiating, and coordinating programs for new employees.    QUALIFICATIONS

 

Professional/Educational Registered Nurse with current Illinois License. Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.

At least 3 years recent medical-surgical nursing experience which has provided opportunities to refine competencies in nursing practice and apply principles and practice of teaching and supervision.

Masters degree in nursing or similar healthcare field preferred. DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate of Completion required.

Meditech Expanse experience preferred

Certified Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (CMSRN) or willing to obtain within one year.

Wound Care Certification (WCC) preferred

Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) certification preferred

 

Personal Maintains good physical and emotional well being. Possesses the ability to work under tension. Proficient writing and communication skills CPR, ACLS & PALS instructor certification recommended. Role models the Standards of Conduct Is creative, imaginative and receptive to new methodology. Evidence of knowledge and ability to use proper channels of communication. Willingness to be flexible and adaptable. Understands acuity and staffing in their area and adjacent areas

 

Actual pay will be determined by qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
