Job Title: Mechatronics TechnicianJob Description Working under minimal supervision, this multi-craft trade role involves installing, servicing, and repairing all manufacturing equipment. The technician will perform troubleshooting and provide technical expertise on a variety of complex electrical and mechanical equipment and control systems. Responsibilities include handling assigned projects and developmental projects for engineering and plant maintenance support. The technician will make advanced repairs and adjustments to mechanical and electrical devices, and successfully troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues. Equipment worked on includes mechanical and hydraulic brake and clutch systems, as well as hydraulic and pneumatic installation, repair, and troubleshooting. Responsibilities + Install, service, and repair manufacturing equipment. + Troubleshoot and provide technical expertise on complex equipment and control systems. + Handle assigned projects and developmental projects for engineering and plant maintenance. + Make advanced repairs and adjustments to mechanical and electrical devices. + Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues. + Work on mechanical and hydraulic brake and clutch systems, and hydraulic and pneumatic installations. Essential Skills + Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude. + Working knowledge of machine components, electronic circuits, and pneumatic and hydraulic systems. + Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics. + Welding knowledge and fabrication ability using arc, MIG, and TIG welding equipment. + Ability to update electrical schematics using AutoCAD software. + Proficient in using a PLC to troubleshoot machine issues and improve performance. + Capability to work in elevated positions. + Ability to perform electrical and mechanical preventative maintenance on all facility equipment. + Working knowledge of safety standards. Additional Skills & Qualifications + High School Diploma required. + Associate degree is a plus. + Ability to work standing constantly with frequent bending and twisting. + Capability to occasionally lift 35 lbs from floor to waist, lift 50 lbs from waist to shoulders, and push/pull up to 15 lbs. + Ability to frequently carry 35-55 lbs. + Ability to occasionally grasp with moderate force. + Reading blueprints and using measuring tools to ensure quality specifications. + Ability to visually inspect for defects. Work Environment The position is based in a manufacturing environment that produces high-end office furniture. The role involves working on either the second shift, starting at 3 PM, or the third shift, starting at 10 PM. The work environment requires adherence to safety standards and may involve working in elevated positions. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
