What you’ll be able to do:
Design and release CAD models for mechanisms. Develop and test new designs, ensuring they support current and future products. Iterate designs rapidly using your strong fundamentals knowledge in statics, dynamics and mechanics of materials. Write python/matlab code to collect, parse, and analyze large datasets. Collaborate with the design team to realize concepts, using rapid prototyping and performing necessary engineering calculations. Use engineering analysis and simulation to enhance product quality early in the design process. Prepare design documentation, including part and assembly drawings, for manufacturing. Support projects through tooling, testing, and manufacturing phases. Create and review technical drawings and specifications using CAD software. Work with multi-disciplinary teams, vendors, and contractors. Evaluate project costs, prioritizing design effectiveness and safety. Verify design accuracy and document processes. Manage bills of material and maintain accurate records.Preferred Requirements:

The minimum requirements we seek:
Currently studying Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field Experience with Catia V5/6, 3DX and or other CAD packages Experience with confluence, and Jira applications Detailed knowledge of the product development process from design, development, validation and industrialization 5+ years of experience in an automotive product development environment Strong written and verbal communication skills Experience building engineering tools in python/matlab. An eagerness to work cross-functionally in a dynamic environment where you are part of a high performing team A system approach with the desire and curiosity to strive for exceptional delivery execution and continuous improvement Knowledge of the materials, processes & technologies used to deliver automotive structure systems or equivalent products Proven experience driving progress on multiple projects across multiple locations and timelines
