Crowne Plaza Jordan Dead Sea Resort & SPA looking for Mechanical Technician to join our Team , Under the guidance of the Repair and Maintenance Engineer, operates, maintains and repairs all aspects of the hotel’s motor vehicles and stationary engine driven equipment, in accordance with IHC standards to achieve optimum operating efficiency at all times.

Key Relationships
+ Reports to Repairs and Maintenance Engineer.
+ Interacts – cooperates with others in the Engineering department.
+ Interacts – cooperates with hotel guests/outside contractors as directed.
+ Interacts with other Departments when necessary to provide additional or specialized services for functions, promotions and festivities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Attends to repairs and maintenance of all types of mechanical equipment such as heating, ventilation and air-conditioning equipment, laundry and kitchen equipment, pumps, water and sewage treatment plants.
+ Carrying out electric arc or oxy-acetylene welding.
+ Attending to pipe repairs or fitting work including minor plumbing job.
+ Attending to all types of repair and maintenance work in the hotel premises, including any new additional/extensions to the hotel or any other properties maintained by the hotel.
+ Responding to a guest maintenance request within 15 minutes on receipt of the same.
+ Ensuring that the supplied uniform is clean and in good repair. Always maintain a clean and tidy appearance before entering a guest or public areas.
+ Ensuring that the plant room, workshop and related areas are kept clean and tidy condition.
+ Observing prescribed safety standards. Helping maintain safe conditions for self and others.
+ Performing related duties and special projects as assigned.
Customer Service
1. Demonstrate service attributes in accordance with industry expectations and company standards including:
1. Being attentive to Guests
2. Accurately and promptly fulfilling Guests requests
3. Anticipate Guests needs
4. Maintain a high level of knowledge which affects the Guest experience
5. Demonstrating a ‘service’ attitude
6. Taking appropriate action to resolve guest complaints
1. Appreciate the dynamic nature of the Hotel industry and extend these service attributes to all internal customers
Health, Safety and Security
1. Familiarize yourself with Company Health and Safety Policies and ensure your areas promote and comply with them
1. Take responsibility to rectify hazardous situations, reporting major areas of concern to your General Manager or designate
1. Familiarize yourself with property safety, first aid and fire and emergency procedures and actively enforce these in your area of responsibility
1. Ensure security incidents in your operational area are reviewed and corrective measures implemented to prevent recurring incidents
