Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our team supporting critical operations. This role requires hands-on expertise in mechanical systems operation, maintenance, and repair in a secure government environment.

Key Responsibilities

Perform operation and preventative maintenance on complex mechanical systemsTroubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems, high-pressure air systems, and various valve typesMaintain and service diesel engines and associated support systemsOperate and maintain compressor systemsInterpret mechanical drawings and schematics accuratelyUtilize precision instruments including micrometers, depth gauges, and torque wrenchesPerform adjustment and calibration of mechanical systems within specified design tolerancesExecute quality assurance practices including procedural compliance, inspections, testing, and certificationMaintain detailed maintenance records and documentation

Required Qualifications

U.S. Citizenship requiredSecret security clearance required (or ability to obtain)3-5 years of related mechanical technician experienceProficiency with mechanical drawings and schematicsExperience with precision measurement instrumentsKnowledge of quality assurance practices and proceduresStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of rigging materials and techniquesOverhead crane operation experienceSmall boat operations experienceForklift operation certificationPrevious experience in government/defense environments
