Our client, a leading manufacturing company, is seeking a Mechanical Technician to join their team. As a Mechanical Technician, you will be part of the engineering department supporting product testing and development. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully with the organization.

Job Title: Mechanical Technician

Location: Jackson, MI

Pay Range: $25 per hour + Benefits

What's the Job?

Review project instructions and blueprints to ascertain test specifications, procedures, and objectives. Perform testing in accordance with test specifications, including test setup and data storage. Draft detailed drawings or sketches as necessary for fabrication of equipment or setup components. Devise, fabricate, and assemble new or modified mechanical components or assemblies for various products. Set up and conduct tests of hydraulic components to evaluate product performance in support of customer requirements.

What's Needed?

High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of two years equivalent experience or four years experience in a technical/laboratory setting. Knowledge of test equipment operation, machine hydraulics, and data acquisition. Prior experience working with hydraulic equipment and testing components  Effective use of current technology and ability to learn and apply new technology. Must be able to lift 30 pounds. Due to U.S. export control laws and regulations, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this position.
