Our client is seeking a Mechanical Supervisor in the greater New Orleans area for a 6-12 month contract with a possibility for extension and/or conversion.

The role is responsible for coordinating maintenance and operations support across small to mid-sized service contracts, capital projects, or less complex facilities. The supervisor oversees entry-level technicians and/or other maintenance leads, ensuring consistent execution of tasks, strong client engagement, and alignment with operational goals.

 

Key Responsibilities

Maintain ongoing communication with site leadership to understand operational needs Conduct periodic reviews with plant management to strengthen collaboration and gather performance feedback Identify opportunities for service improvement and operational efficiency Ensure team responsibilities are clearly defined and aligned with service expectations Monitor adherence to internal procedures and client-specific requirements Regularly assess site-level risks and identify areas of concern Support financial accountability by tracking performance metrics and resource use Contribute to budget planning and cost control efforts Evaluate client operations to identify future needs and potential service enhancements Assist in developing proposals and project plans that align with client goals Participate in business development activities, including presentations and estimates Apply analytical methods to assess current workflows and recommend improvements Support transformation initiatives to optimize site performance Provide periodic reporting on utilization, budget status, and team performance Contribute to site-level planning and strategic alignment

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 6+ years of related experience OR a combination of education and experience totaling 10+ years if non-degreed Strong technical background in mechanical maintenance operations Effective communicator across all levels—internal teams, clients, and external partners
