Our client is seeking a Mechanical Supervisor in the greater New Orleans area for a 6-12 month contract with a possibility for extension and/or conversion.
The role is responsible for coordinating maintenance and operations support across small to mid-sized service contracts, capital projects, or less complex facilities. The supervisor oversees entry-level technicians and/or other maintenance leads, ensuring consistent execution of tasks, strong client engagement, and alignment with operational goals.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Maintain ongoing communication with site leadership to understand operational needs
+ Conduct periodic reviews with plant management to strengthen collaboration and gather performance feedback
+ Identify opportunities for service improvement and operational efficiency
+ Ensure team responsibilities are clearly defined and aligned with service expectations
+ Monitor adherence to internal procedures and client-specific requirements
+ Regularly assess site-level risks and identify areas of concern
+ Support financial accountability by tracking performance metrics and resource use
+ Contribute to budget planning and cost control efforts
+ Evaluate client operations to identify future needs and potential service enhancements
+ Assist in developing proposals and project plans that align with client goals
+ Participate in business development activities, including presentations and estimates
+ Apply analytical methods to assess current workflows and recommend improvements
+ Support transformation initiatives to optimize site performance
+ Provide periodic reporting on utilization, budget status, and team performance
+ Contribute to site-level planning and strategic alignment
**Qualifications & Skills**
+ Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 6+ years of related experience
+ OR a combination of education and experience totaling 10+ years if non-degreed
+ Strong technical background in mechanical maintenance operations
+ Effective communicator across all levels—internal teams, clients, and external partners
