Daily responsibilities involve the measuring of precision machined components to Aerospace AS9100 procedures using CMM’s, micrometers, comparators as well as other various types of manufacturing gages. **Opportunity is currently part time but could lead to full time as company's workload increases.** JOB DESCRIPTION: + Perform 1st piece, in-process, and final inspections of machined parts per the customer’s spec or AS9100 standard. + Uses CMM programs to inspect and document critical dimensions. + Records inspection data as required in a neat and orderly way. + Perform yearly Gage calibrations. + Performs physical inspection of raw material and compares material certs. + Basic understanding of machine shop equipment and operation. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: + CMM experience (specifically Zeiss Calypso is a plus) + Ability to read and understand specifications, drawings, procedures, and other materials as necessary to assure that components being produced are according to specification and/or required drawing. + Ability to use various measuring equipment for inspections and calibration. + Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and with proper legible handwriting. + Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an ISO/AS9100 certified machine shop. + Basic math and computer skills as well as an understanding of geometric tolerances.
