In this role, you will create and carry out maintenance plans using your knowledge and experience, you will allocate resources to improve reliability and efficiency while keeping costs within budgets, oversee contractors work during maintenance periods and your focus on quality and safety will ensure collaboration between associates and contractors.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of 5 trade associates and 1 apprentice to ensure timely and high-quality execution of weekly maintenance schedules.
Forecast and manage labour and expense budgets.
Drive initiatives and minor projects to enhance equipment reliability using innovative solutions and best practices.
Champion vibration analysis and implement predictive maintenance tools within the Mechanical team.
Work closely with the Reliability Planner to refine preventive maintenance tasks and optimize schedules.
Actively participate in Factory performance reviews.
Oversee maintenance activities during plant shutdowns, ensuring safety and operational standards are met.
Ensure adherence to Workplace Health and Safety.
What We’re Looking For:
Mechanical Trade or Mechanical Engineering degree preferred.
1-2 years in supervision, team leadership, or line management.
Familiarity with predictive maintenance technologies, CAD, and maintenance scheduling systems. Knowledge of automation systems is a plus.
Proven experience in a maintenance or high-speed manufacturing environment.
